Three Chrysler models get axed

America's number three automaker

The new Chrysler LLC, the latest iteration of America # 3 car manufacturer will be cutting its three models of automotive line. According to Detroit News Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Magnum and the Chrysler PT Cruiser will see its end with model year 2008 while the PT Cruiser will "soldier" for one more year, relies on special design editions to attract buyers.

Three models, designated to complete the

All three named models were slow sellers and for good reason too. Chrysler PT Cruiser is based on the same platform that supported already defunct Dodge Neon and has not seen an update since its introduction in 2000, the Chrysler Pacifica crossover has been around since 2004, but also be based on the older platform-previous generation Chrysler Town & country and Dodge Caravan vans. Chrysler updated their vans for the 2008 model year, therefore spending money to return the unpopular Pacifica will be bad business decision.

Dodge Journey: Modern people and cargo Mover

As regards Magnum Dodge it remains a rarity, since this is one of several large station wagons being built today. Sales were down sharply during the past year, signalling to Chrysler that it end is justified. Dodge journey crossover, introduced earlier this year, is considered to be a logical replacement for users who want decent size people and freight Mover. Therefore leaving the Magnum.

The Daimler share of Chrysler remained 19.9%

Chrysler pare down a long time have been expected, since the most recent version of the manufacturer can no longer rely solely on Daimler backing (although the German automaker retained 19.9% share of the company). In addition to the new Dodge Challenger now on the market, the automaker is shifting production to the more popular models.
