Nissan, Chrysler look to share Mid-Size car

Nissan motors and Chrysler have been talking a lot this year.

Last winter, the two companies have hatched a plan, when Nissan to build a small car for Chrysler, which American producer would sell its market, Latin America. Later Chrysler agrees to provide a platform of the truck, which would be the basis of the next generation, the Japanese automaker Nissan Titan truck. The Titan platform will have the same platform as the Dodge Ram, but with another body.

Most recently, fresh bit of news on Nissan and the Chrysler side: two automakers now speaking as the Nissan building the next generation of Chrysler mid-size this species in the Nissan-owned factory in Tennessee. Although negotiations not yielded a specific agreement, they are offered an interesting trend: Nissan motors and Chrysler are in the process of forging a strategic business Alliance.

Not for Nissan, this is something new, the French automaker Peugeot has significant part of his activity. Back to Nissan also owns a significant part of Peugeot, with both automakers, which are operated by one person, Charles Ghosn. Ghosn saved Nissan from the abyss, in the 1990s, when this producer is floundering and in danger of collapse entirely. The relationship between Peugeot and Nissan is a historical and succeeded because the expert guidance of Ghosn.

Chrysler is not unfamiliar to forging their international unions, had a relationship with Mitsubishi, which began in the 1970s and lasted more than 25 years. In 1998, Chrysler Corporation was purchased by Daimler, but DajmlerKrajsler entity, which never managed before Daimler sold Chrysler to Cerberus Capital Management in 2007.

Today, Chrysler suffers billion losses thanks partly almost overnight shift in consumer tastes from their main products-large trucks and pikapi-smaller cars. Unfortunately for Chrysler, the latter category is its weakest link with only one car that can get 30 mpg on the road. Hooking with Nissan, who wants to expand their visibility in the world makes sense--move, which will benefit both automakers and better selection of vehicles, quality to the market.

For Peugeot, Nissan-Chrysler Alliance could spell the "opportunity" for them. Peugeot market of United States in the 1980s and want to return to the course, which may be carried out if the automaker crafts its own Alliance with Chrysler.
